” Cruisalong”
This 23 foot “Black Fish design” cabin cruiser was crafted by the late Harold Green of Mount Gambier from local Blackwood Timber in 1951. Made specifically for the Glenelg River at Nelson and has been on the river ever since!

This beautiful boat still has it’s original “Vauxhall Clae” four cylinder marine engine and gearbox with operating instruction books and specifications.

The cabin has a full size lockable door, two full length bunks, a galley sink with pumps for river water and fresh water from the 60 litre stainless steel water tank, plenty of cupboards, a foldup table, storage lockers, the cabin also has retained it’s 1950’s decor with small “Lourve” blinds and curtainettes also of the era!

The vessel has been re-fit with an automatic/manual new “Bilge” pump and a marine batter. The boat was slipped in January 2020 and repainted and anti-fouled whilst the engine was removed, stripped down, overhauled and with new electrics!

The hull is made from New Zealand “Kauri”, planking, superstructure are in good condtion, all solid timber has not been affected but some ply interior dressing sections in the interior cabin will need replacing, but that is only cosmetic. The generous cockpit has slatted wooden seats complete with removable padded cushions.
